- Women aged 16-64 years
- Symptoms present for less than 7 days
- No kidney pain
- Not pregnant or breastfeeding
- No more than 3 UTIs in the past year

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is this service only for women?
UTIs in men are considered complicated and require GP assessment. Women are more prone to uncomplicated UTIs that can be safely treated in pharmacy.
What if my symptoms don't improve?
If symptoms persist after 48 hours or worsen, we'll refer you to your GP for further investigation.
Can I prevent future UTIs?
Yes, we'll provide advice on prevention including hydration, hygiene practices, and when to seek preventive treatment.
Is the service confidential?
Absolutely. All consultations are private and we only share information with your GP with your consent.
Important Information
If you have symptoms of kidney infection (fever, back pain, nausea), please see your GP urgently as this requires different treatment.
